The Everyday Series: Season 1

'The metropolis as the quintessential human-made environment, a forest made of walls and words. And, needless to say, the notion of the city as an extension of language plays an important part within the concept of urban modernity. After all, what a better way to create a human environment than to create a linguistic environment? Language lives inside us – so our most modernist urge might be to try to reverse the situation, by living inside language. To Speak with Heideggar: “poetically, man dwells.” Our cities are poems, how words are buildings.'
– Experimental Jetset March 2018 [Superstructures]

An exploration of the visual language of our streets and embracing the mundane of everyday life. What can you see through the crowd, this is my view on the world what can you see within it. My goal is to inspire the general public to unlock the visual gateway that is our everyday environment from road markings to tarmac and everything else.

'Explorations of the ordinary,
Encounters with the everyday,
Embracing the mundane.'

A project which evolved through the pandemic, 4 books each focusing on a particular aspect of our everyday.
